| How to Keep Your Health Care Coverage Pennsylvania is preparing for the end of continuous coverage for Medical Assistance (MA) and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) recipients resulting from the national Public Health Emergency, effective April 1, 2023. The Department of Human Services (DHS) encourages providers to share the following information with recipients of MA and CHIP to help them stay informed about actions they can take to maintain their coverage after the continuous coverage requirement ends.
