It is with heartfelt sympathy that the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group remembers Janice P. Schiller, who passed away peacefully at her home on August 18, 2026, at the age of 89.
Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was centered around the people she loved most. A graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1955, Janice worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone Company before leaving to raise her family.
She enjoyed reading, especially history, and traveling throughout the United States with her husband and sons. Above all, Janice treasured her family, and her grandson, Daniel, held an especially important place in her heart.
Janice was the loving wife of the late Louis E. Schiller and mother of Louis E. Schiller, Jr. (Diana) and Michael A. Schiller. She was the beloved grandmother of Daniel J. Schiller and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
We are deeply honored that Janice’s family has chosen the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group to receive memorial gifts in her memory. Their generosity will help Delco DSIG continue supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout our community.
To Janice’s family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences and gratitude for allowing her memory to make a difference in the lives of others.
