Open Forum, Welcome Back meeting, no guest speaker
Anne Bradley Leopold, the founder of Emmaus House will speak about the history of the program, what it offers, answer questions and provide information for anyone who wishes to possibly join or be involved. Emmaus is non-profit organization that provides day programs and housing for adults with intellectual disabilities. The day program is located on Dutton Mill Road in Aston, PA. Anne has an adult son with Autism who inspired her to create Emmaus Home. https://www.emmaushome.org/

It wasn’t easy, but we were able to find a dentist come and speak to our group. Dr. Annie Creato from Kids Teeth agreed to present at our meeting.

We hope everyone had a great summer and are getting back into the swing of things now that Fall has officially begun! It’s time to begin a new year with DSIG, so please join us for our first meeting of the season at our new meeting location, Widener University!

We will not have a speaker for this meeting, as it will just be a time to catch up with old friends & possibly meet some new friends! We hope to see you there!
The annual DSIG Holiday Party will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 6 to 9 PM at Paxon Hollow Country Club. Come join us for a night of dinner, dancing & great friendship! RSVP is required for this event.
Please email Megan at [email protected] with the number of adults and number of children (12 and under). There is a strict RSVP date of Friday, November 29, 2019. No late responses will be honored.
As in years past, we will be collecting for a local food pantry, so please bring a $10 donation or $10 in food items, and consider this your admission to the party.
Last but not least, annual dues will be collected for 2020 at this event. Our dues will remain the same as in previous years at $10 per household.
