While most of us are still relishing the Eagles Super Bowl Victory earlier this month, it’s time to begin thinking of baseball and some warmer weather. This year’s Phillies team has already made some moves that should make the team more exciting than in the past few years. Once again, together with the T21 Club from Philly, Jack Malone will be coordinating our multi county Down Syndrome Awareness Night at the Phillies for DSIG. This year’s game is going back to being held on a “DOLLAR DOG NIGHT”. The Friday night experiment did not increase ticket sales as was hoped. Actually sales have fallen off in all of the counties in the past few years. The Phillies performance may have contributed to it, but we’re hoping that the dollar dog night may bring you back out. If there are enough tickets sold, one lucky child, 7 years of age or older, will be selected to take part in the first pitch ceremony. Also the first come first served event t-shirts will be available as long as enough sponsors are obtained. I’m guessing they will make that requirement. So with all that said here are the particulars for this year’s game:
WHO: Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Francisco Giants
DATE: Tuesday, MAY 8th
TIME: 7:05PM
COST: $38.00 PER TICKET
Handicap/companion seats are available. Our seats will be in section 206 & 207 (same sections as past years). Jack can be reached via email at [email protected], phone (484-682-5550) or text, if you are interested in tickets. Payment deadline is 4/7/18, however, Jack is asking for payment as quickly as possible after placing your order.
Checks may be made payable to:

Please join us at the Annual DSIG Holiday Party for an evening of dining, dancing, and connecting with old friends and meeting some new friends. Of course, no holiday party would be complete without a visit from the big guy in the red suit!
Please RSVP responsibly to Megan Califano at [email protected] by Friday, November 23, 2018 (the day after Thanksgiving). We are unable to accept late RSVP’s after that date as we need to give the venue our count. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
We are also once again asking that each family bring $10 worth of non-perishable food items that evening, which will be donated to the St. Katharine Drexel Food Pantry in Chester, PA. This is our way of giving back to the community and helping those in need. If you do not have time to shop, monetary donations will be accepted as well. For more information on this food cupboard and their grocery list, please visit, www.orgsites.com/pa/skd/. We look forward to once again making the holidays a little brighter for our neighbors in need.
We will also be collecting the $10.00 DSIG Membership Dues at the holiday party for the 2019 membership year. If you pay at the party, you can have one item checked off on your “To Do List” for 2019. Checks should be made payable to DSIG and of course, cash is always welcome.
