The date has been set, so please mark your calendars! This is our only fundraiser for DSIG and it helps to pay for all of the wonderful events that we offer all year long. Perks: Depending on the number of tickets sold by all of the Down syndrome groups, there may be a t-shirt available on a first come basis. One person with Down syndrome, who is over the age of 7, could be selected to participate in the first pitch ceremony, so please provide Jack Malone with your contact phone number where you can be reached if your child is selected.

Date: Sunday, May 5th

Phillies v. Washington Nationals (Bryce’s old team)
Seats: Section 206 and 207 (Handicap Accessible Seating is available).
Promotion: Phillies celebrate Mother’s Day. Every young lady 15 years and older will receive a Ladies Fleece Pullover
There will be 2 ticket options this year as The T21 club is hosting a pre-game tent party from 12:00-1:30pm.
Option 1: Purchase a game ticket only for $38.00. (Children 3-under are free but do not have their own seat. Lap time!)
Option 2: Ages 11-up ticket for Pre-game Tent party and seat in Sec 206-207 are $78.00
Ages 6-10 ticket for Pre-game Tent party and seat in Sec 206-207 are $58.00
Ages 3-5 ticket for Pre-game Tent party and seat in Sec 206-207 are $38.00 (must enter with parent who purchased a $78.00 ticket)
Ages 3-under no charge but must enter with a parent who purchased a $78.00 ticket
The Pre-game Tent Party will include a ballpark food buffet, soft drinks and water, a PHILLIES CAP, and a few special guests to visit with. There will be bartender service for a cash bar.
Tee-shirts (if sponsorship is obtained) may be given out at the Pre-game tent party only. Again that is not for certain.
I must have orders and payment prior to April 1st (no fooling!) Ticket order has to be placed by April 5th.

The next event is planned and we hope you can attend!!!
We will be renting a 50 person wagon at Linvilla on Tuesday, Oct 22nd! The wagon leaves PROMPTLY at 5:45. They ask that we show up 30 mins prior to the hayride to ensure everyone is on in time! I know my husband missed it the last time we did this event by literally a minute!
This event will be open to our birth-5 and 6-12 group.
We can only take the first 50 RSVPs. Please RSVP respectfully as the DSIG is paying $8 per person to attend, and other people would gladly fill the spots! 🍁🎃👻

The annual DSIG Holiday Party will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 6 to 9 PM at Paxon Hollow Country Club. Come join us for a night of dinner, dancing & great friendship! RSVP is required for this event.
Please email Megan at [email protected] with the number of adults and number of children (12 and under). There is a strict RSVP date of Friday, November 29, 2019. No late responses will be honored.
As in years past, we will be collecting for a local food pantry, so please bring a $10 donation or $10 in food items, and consider this your admission to the party.
Last but not least, annual dues will be collected for 2020 at this event. Our dues will remain the same as in previous years at $10 per household.
Please join us on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Ridley Creek State Park (picnic Area 11) for the second annual 5K Run for Homies with Extra Chromies presented by InkAway Laser Tattoo Removal to benefit the Down Syndrome Interest Group of Delaware County. This course is USATF certified. Walkers are also welcomed to join!

Proceeds of the race will benefit The Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group (DSIG). DSIG is a 501(c) non-profit organization that was formed in 1990 by a group of families touched by Down Syndrome in Delaware County. They strive to promote professional and public awareness and encourage inclusion for those with Down Syndrome. Their goals are to reach out to expectant and new parents of a child with Down Syndrome, to be supportive of and provide social interaction for people with Down Syndrome, their families, friends and acquaintances, to aid and challenge each family to constantly evaluate and re-think how new ideas, information and technology may help or affect their child with Down Syndrome and to educate the general public by assisting members of our community in learning to see people with disabilities as people, not as their disability. Kathy’s Dance Studio is hosting a Hip Hop Dance class on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm for the months of February and March.
