“There will be a parent get together November 17th at the GET CafΓ© at 7pm! Generally, we bring snacks/drinks to share–whatever you like.
Please let us know if you plan to come. It’s been a while, so it will be great to see as many folks as possible and catch up, and also to meet some new members. Please tell friends who may not be on Facebook.
It has been so nice to meet up with parents on this particular journey in the past; a great way to resource share and chat about issues that can be particular to our kiddos with a dual Down syndrome/ASD diagnosis (and a good excuse to have a glass of wine and vent)! π
GET CafΓ© is located at 246 Haverford Avenue, Narberth, PA 19072.
Feel free rsvp on this post, Facebook message me, email or text.

The PEAL Center is offering this incredible in-person event to rally a new generation of parents, self-advocates and their allies to push for more inclusive schools. Even though PA was the first state to ensure students with intellectual disabilities could attend public schools, today we rank 44th out of 50 states when it comes to including students with ID in regular ed. classes. We can do better. But we need a new generation of parents to stand up and lead the way. The event is FREE. Space is limited so register today!
Date: November 30
Time: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Where: Harrisburg Hilton

Sadly, we have to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the upcoming Egg Hunt that was scheduled for this weekend 3/24. The cancellation is due to a low turnout which we suspect is from it landing on a holiday weekend, and with individuals having Special Olympics swimming. Next year, we will make sure to plan it further in advance and pick a weekend that more people would be able to attend.
Thank you for understanding, and we hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
