27th Annual “Walk for Our Kids” @ Springfield Mall

The date has been set, so please mark your calendars!  This is our only fundraiser for DSIG and it helps to pay for all of the wonderful events that we offer all year long.  If you have a business that you know would like to be a sponsor of this event, please contact Patty White at [email protected].  Look for more details about this event in the next few weeks!  It takes a village to run this event, so I will be in touch shortly about ways that families can get involved this year.

A special “Thank You!” to Jack Malone who is once again coordinating the annual DSAN at The Phillies!  Jack is accepting orders now for this event.

Cost:  $38.00 per ticket
Seats: Sections 206 & 207
Perks: Depending on the number of tickets sold by all of the Down syndrome groups, there may be a t-shirt available on a first come basis.  One person with Down syndrome, who is over the age of 7, could be selected to participate in the first pitch ceremony, so please provide Jack Malone with your contact phone number where you can be reached if your child is selected.

Anne Bradley Leopold, the founder of Emmaus House will speak about the history of the program, what it offers, answer questions and provide information for anyone who wishes to possibly join or be involved. Emmaus is non-profit organization that provides day programs and housing for adults with intellectual disabilities. The day program is located on Dutton Mill Road in Aston, PA. Anne has an adult son with Autism who inspired her to create Emmaus Home. https://www.emmaushome.org/
