WOW! It’s hard to believe that we will be celebrating our 26th year of our annual walk-a-thon! The date has been set for the 26th Annual DSIG “Walk for Our Kids”! This event is our major fundraising event for the year and allows us to continue to provide outreach and social activities for our families. It’s a FUN morning and a great time to meet other families. We will need people in the group to make contact with any businesses that they know to see if they are willing to become one of our $500 sponsors for the event. As a $500 sponsor, their company logo will be featured on the back of the event t-shirt. We will also need items for baskets from businesses, baskets donated by businesses and DSIG families & friends, and raffle and silent auction items. The letter for donations is ready now, so if you have a business contact and need a letter, please send me an e-mail at [email protected] and I will get one out to them. This event takes a lot of planning and volunteers will be needed (sign up to volunteer), so I’ll let you all know in the near future where help is needed. Any questions about this event, just give me a shout!
When: Saturday, April 2, 2016, 8-10am
Where: Springfield Mall
We are looking forward to a FUN night that will include, bowling, shoe rental, pizza, drinks, snacks and most importantly, good times with good friends!
DSIG will pay for your child with Down syndrome, and if siblings or friends would like to attend, they may do so by paying a discounted price of $10.00 per person. The $10.00 will be collected at the door the day of the event. Please respond by the date requested with the number of guests that will be attending as we will be unable to add you on after that date! We need to give the guest count to Sproul Lanes ahead of time since we are reserving lanes!
In order to participate in this event, you must be a current paid DSIG member before the day of the event. If you are unsure if you have paid your dues for 2016, just ask and we will let you know.
