Down to Box is launching in Ridley Park. May 20 we will be conducting a coaches training and the program will launch for regular weekly classes shortly after!
Down to Box is conducting a coaches’ training Saturday May 20 at Jabz Boxing (3488 Concord Rd, Aston, PA 19014). Children with Down syndrome and their siblings between the ages of 6-13 are welcome from 1-1:30pm and adults ages 14 and older with Down syndrome or other intellectual and developmental disabilities from 2-2:30pm.
Please email [email protected] to sign up. There is no cost to attend- this is a mini demo class that is part of our coaches’ training that day.
Participants will be doing footwork drills, light boxing techniques on a bag and with mitts, cardio and strength exercises- all for beginners.
Kathy’s Dance Studio is under new ownership and the new owners are near and dear to the special needs community. As a result, we have been posting/sharing lots of classes and information. They are offering special pricing for families of our organization, $35.00 a month. These classes will be geared towards the abilities of our kids/family members.
Fitness and exercise with an intro to Kickboxing and boxing will be held on Saturday’s at 4PM.

Marple Education Center will be hosting our 2023 prom. We are celebrating roaring 20’s style! Our prom hosts students 14-21 as well as our school alumni. MEC is a center-based school serving individuals with special needs from all over Delaware County.
Please consider donating or sharing this with an organization who might be able to support the night.

Caregivers encourages to join the party! Zumba® is the dance-fitness revolution! This fun dance class is aimed at increasing physical activity levels and motor coordination. This program is for older children with and without developmental disabilities (e.g. Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, etc..)
Each family can sign up for a ONE 20-minute outdoor session with a photographer. You will get digital professional photos of your family for free! So, make sure the session you sign up for really fits your schedule because once you sign up, we’re expecting that you will be there!
In addition to you gaining access to the pictures taken of your family for free, the DSIG will have access and will be able to use these pictures as marketing pieces, across social media platforms, in emails, promotional flyers etc. For this to happen, we require your consent and permission to release the photographs before you sign up for a session. Without consent to a release, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in this event.
Spots may go quickly, as it is on a first come first served basis. If you are unable to get a spot, email me (Kelsey Mango) at [email protected] and I will put you on a waitlist in the event that a photographer offers additional time.
