Ancona Montessori is proud to host a morning of silly spooky crafts, stories, songs, and snacks just in time for Halloween. Proceeds go directly to the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest group to be used for health initiatives, family training, educational activities and social gatherings for members and their families.
Race Details: Please join us on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Ridley Creek State Park (picnic Area 11) for the fifth annual 5K Run for Homies with Bonus Chromies presented by InkAway Laser Tattoo Removal to benefit the Down Syndrome Interest Group of Delaware County. This course is USATF certified. Walkers are also welcomed to join!
Date and time: Race Day packet pickup and registration will take place from 8:15 am- 9:15 am. Race begins at 9:30 am
Awards: Top 1-3 Male and Female; $150.00 to 1st place finisher, $75.00 to 2nd place finisher, $50.00 to 3rd place finisher.

Join us for a fun fall evening at Linvilla Orchards! DelcoDSIG members are invited to the Party Area of Linvilla, where the hayride will be departing from. Arrive at 6:15 pm sharp so we can load the hayride before it leaves at 6:30. After the hayride, we will return to the party area for a campfire, roasting marshmallows and delicious apple cider. There’s nothing better! We have a 60 person limit for the hayrides, so make sure you get your RSVP’s in ASAP!

Dr. Katz will share strategies to improve sleep for the whole family, while Dr. Levine will introduce effective, relationship-focused techniques to enhance communication and problem-solving skills. Delco DSIG, and a few other local organizations, have partnered with The National Down Syndrome Congress to bring the Greater Philadelphia Region Educators Conference to our area.

This unique conference offers practical, research-based strategies that general and special education teachers can immediately implement to support students with intellectual disabilities, including Down syndrome.
What’s even more exciting… DelcoDSIG is looking to SPONSOR FIVE Delco teachers. We will cover the entire registration fee for five teachers in our area.
What you can do…. Share this flyer and sponsorship application link with your child’s special education teacher. The more teachers we can get to this conference, the more support our members’ teachers have to work with our community now and in the future!
All applications must be received by Monday, December 2, 2024, to be eligible for the DSIG sponsorship.
