Notre Dame Academy in Villanova, PA will once again be hosting a iCan Shine Bike Camp from Monday, 7/7/14 – Friday, 7/11/14. DSIG will reimburse families for the cost of the camp, which is $225, upon completion of the camp. This camp was formerly known as the Lose The Training Wheels Bike Camp and has positively changed many of our young members lives who have learned to ride. The iCan Shine Bike Camp will once again be coming to our area this year. This camp is a wonderful experience for your child or young adult to learn how to ride a 2-wheel bike. This program has been attended by many of our members who now know how to ride a 2-wheel bike independently.
When: June 22-26, 2015
Where: Notre Dame Academy in Villanova, PA

If you are a paid member of DSIG and your child completes the full week of camp, you will reimbursed by DSIG for the cost of the camp after completion of the camp.
You must be at least 8 years of age to attend and must meet the criteria that is listed on the iCan Shine website at www.icanshine.org. I encourage you to visit their website for information and videos on the iCan Bike Camps.

Join us for a night of true stories about some of our first friends and enemies: our siblings. Storytellers from the “A Fierce Kind of Love” storytelling workshops will take to the stage with their true tales about how disability affects families. You’re invited to throw your name into the hat, and share your own story about a brother or sister too!

Perks: Depending on the number of tickets sold by all of the Down syndrome groups, there may be a t-shirt available on a first come basis. One person with Down syndrome, who is over the age of 7, could be selected to participate in the first pitch ceremony, so please provide Jack Malone with your contact phone number where you can be reached if your child is selected.
