  • Bring your own snacks/beverages; some will be available for purchase
  • Tables can be reserved for parties of 8 or more.
  • Must be 21 to attend
All proceeds benefit the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group. This organization sponsors family training, education activities, social gathers, and health initiatives for those with Down syndrome and their families.

2019 DSIG Holiday Party @ Paxon Hollow Country Club

The annual DSIG Holiday Party will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 6 to 9 PM at Paxon Hollow Country Club. Come join us for a night of dinner, dancing & great friendship! RSVP is required for this event.

Please email Megan at [email protected] with the number of adults and number of children (12 and under). There is a strict RSVP date of Friday, November 29, 2019. No late responses will be honored.

As in years past, we will be collecting for a local food pantry, so please bring a $10 donation or $10 in food items, and consider this your admission to the party.

Last but not least, annual dues will be collected for 2020 at this event. Our dues will remain the same as in previous years at $10 per household.

The parties will be about 45 minutes long with music and dancing. It is a holiday party so participants should dress festively; Holiday sweaters, Santa hats, stuff like that. Prizes will given out for several categories for each party:
👕 Best Dressed – person with the best holiday style
💃 Best Moves – person who had the best dance moves
⚡ Most Energy – person danced the most
🎼 Most Popular Song – person who requested the song everyone danced to/liked
(random person if multiple people requested the song)
🍀 Most Luck – a randomly chosen person (not already given a prize)

Wear your most comfy pajamas, favorite Valentine’s sweater, or dress in your Valentine’s day best; whatever makes you to feel loved! Get out your disco balls, balloons, glow bands and join the party! (My daugther Jane personally prefers to jump/dance on her mini trampoline to her favorite tunes!)

3.21 IS WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY

To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (3/21) the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group is hosting a fundraiser with the chance to own a beautiful tumbler, pictured below. The 20 oz. black tumbler features a three arrow design which is symbolic in the Down syndrome community. It represents the three copies of the 21st chromosome that occur in Down syndrome. An arrow must first be pulled back in order to expel forward. While the initial diagnosis may cause a “pull-back” thanks to support, community and love your arrow will quickly be sprung forward to amazing heights! This quote is meaningful to the lucky few that get to experience life with a family member or loved one who has DS.
$15 per tumbler = black with silver decoration
Details about the fundraiser:

$15 per tumbler
Colors: Black tumbler with a choice of silver arrows (pictured above), Black tumbler with DS yellow and blue arrows

Two options for receiving your tumbler:
pick-up at a local Delco locations (time and places TBD), shipping (shipping cost will be added to final price).

This fundraiser will run throughout the month of March.

Sadly, we have to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the upcoming Egg Hunt that was scheduled for this weekend 3/24. The cancellation is due to a low turnout which we suspect is from it landing on a holiday weekend, and with individuals having Special Olympics swimming. Next year, we will make sure to plan it further in advance and pick a weekend that more people would be able to attend.
