Entrepreneur Spotlight: Artist Kevin Koethe

Kevin sees the world through colors. He has always enjoyed drawing with markers to create shapes and designs. In high school, his drawings were used to construct word walls in every classroom. As Kevin grew as an artist, he began painting his designs with acrylic paint on canvas, wood blocks, and boards.

Kevin loves to paint the world around him. He examines the shapes and lines in everyday objects and then transforms them into his own designs. He uses colors and geometric shapes to create his abstract art. The shapes are kaleidoscopes and puzzle pieces of vibrant colors. He uses these colors and shapes to paint his stories and share his life.

Kevin paints with other abstract artists at the Wallingford Community Arts Center. He shares studio space at Utility Works in Lansdowne. He has shown his abstract art at many exhibits, including the Swarthmore Makers Market, Wallingford Community Arts Center Fine Arts and Crafts Festival, Lansdowne Farmer’s Market, Middletown Art in the Park, Hobb’s Café, Media Arts Council Juried Painting Exhibition, and the Not Really: Seeking Abstraction show at the Tall Grass Arts Association.
