DSIG is actively recruiting for new board members. We are currently looking to fill the following positions, which have either been vacant for some time now or have been occupied by the same people:
If anyone is interested in leading DSIG into the future as President, please let us know. I, Patty, have been involved with DSIG in some manner since shortly after Lauren was born 31 years ago, so as President, I would love to see the potential of this group skyrocket with some new blood at the helm. Please do some soul searching to see if you might be the next person to lead this wonderful organization. I, of course, would be there to support you as needed.
Vice President – supports the President, overseeing operations and filling in when the president is unavailable
Secretary – managing internal/external communications, create meeting agenda’s and draft meeting minutes
Social Media Coordinator – manage Facebook page, co-ordinate with Web developer for Website message updates, most importantly we need to have someone work to create on-line payment options and use of forms to make yearly dues and event registration easier
Committee members – these are members who can be available “as needed” to support activity coordination, fundraising events, in person meeting support and event set up/clean up
Treasurer – balances the budget, manages the credit cards, handles payments for events, works with accountant for taxes, etc.  This position will be available at the end of the year, but we are actively recruiting for this position now to allow for a smooth transition.
